iPhone 14 : What to Expect ?
On September 16, Apple is expected to introduce its iPhone 14 lineup at its yearly September keynote event. The "far out" tagline-teased product event will take place at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California, and will be livestreamed on Apple's website and social media platforms.
Naming
For the majority of the rumor cycle, it was expected that Apple will adopt the "Pro Max" naming scheme that has been in use for several years to refer to the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 that is now in development as the "iPhone 14 Max." The iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max were that we were counting upon. It turns out that Apple might choose a different path. The 6.7-inch normal iPhone 14 may now be branded to as the "iPhone 14 Plus," according to rumors".
Size
The 5.4-inch iPhone mini will no longer be offered by Apple starting in 2022 due to the fact that it was not well received by buyers. We anticipate seeing a 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 (Max or Plus), and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple is likely to concentrate on larger iPhone sizes for its flagship handsets coming ahead after seeing weak iPhone mini sales. There won't be a 5.4-inch iPhone 14 small this year. If correct, the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max should be available.
No Notch and New Face ID
Apple is attempting to eliminate of the notch that houses the Face ID hardware on at least some of the iPhone 14 models, notably the Pro ones. With the exception of a size adjustment for the iPhone 13, the notch hasn't changed much since it was first introduced as a design feature in 2017.
There will be black space between the cutouts to make them indistinguishable from one another when the iPhone is in use. Apple plans to combine the two cuts into a single long pill-shaped cutout using software. The space in between the cuts will reportedly be used by Apple for microphone and camera indicator lights, but other than that, it will reportedly be black and the cutouts will seem as a single notch. The standard iPhone 14 models will not feature this new design and will continue to have a notch like the iPhone 13 models.
Displays
Early iPhone 14 rumors said that all four of the models, which will launch in 2022, might have displays with refresh rates of up to 120Hz.
Colour
According to a rumor, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro may be available in purple. Despite not being confirmed, the rumor indicates that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models would come in a purple colour with a special finish that changes tone based on the lighting.
Body Design
The iPhone 14 devices are expected to have the same flat-edged appearance as the iPhone 13 models.
Charging Port
It's been said that Apple wants to replace the iPhone's Lightning port with a portless design that uses MagSafe for charging, but it's unclear if such technology will be available starting with the 2022 iPhone models.
Snapdragon X65 Modem
The iPhone 14 models will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon X65 modem, which is the world's first 10 Gigabit 5G modem and antenna system for smartphones.
WiFi 6E
According to an Apple analyst, the iPhone 14 will have WiFi 6E connectivity. WiFi 6E will provide the fast wireless transmissions necessary for AR and VR experiences. It is also expected to be utilized in the mixed reality headset that may be released in 2022.
2TB Storage ?
Apple introduced a new 1TB storage tier with the iPhone 13 Pro models, and reports say that with the iPhone 14 upgrade, Apple may expand it even further to 2TB.
